The UPAC discussion list was established in August 2000 as a gathering place for professional archaeologists, avocational archaeologists and others who are interested in the archaeology of Utah.

The list is open to all interested parties, and membership in the Utah Professional Archaeological Council (UPAC) is not required.

The intent of this list is to create a forum to aid in the quick dissemination of information and to increase communication flow within the archaeological community. The UPAC discussion list encourages individuals to ask questions, request comments, post information on upcoming conferences/workshops/publications and discuss recent fieldwork.

• To Subscribe:
1. Visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/UPAC/
2. Click on "Join This Group!"
3. If you have an existing yahoo username (you have an email account with Yahoo!) simply sign in with your Yahoo! username and password.
4. If you do not have an existing yahoo username you will need to create one. Click on "Sign up now."
5. Create a Yahoo! ID. This profile will identify you when you access the Group's web features (uploading files, etc).
6. If you do not enter an alternative email address (the email address you want the UPAC emails to be delivered to) while creating a Yahoo! ID, you will activate a Yahoo! email address and by default the UPAC list email will be sent to your new Yahoo! address.
7. Beware: If you do not want to receive spam mail, you will need to uncheck the box next to “Send me special offers from selected Yahoo! Partners through Yahoo! Deliveries."
8. Note: You may only send emails to UPAC from the email address you have subscribed with.
• To Change Subscription Preferences:
  1. Visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/UPAC/
  2. Login to Yahoo!
  3. Click on "Edit My Membership" in the upper right corner.
  4. You may change or add an email address.
  5. You may elect to receive individual, digest, or no emails from the group.
  6. You may choose HTML or plain text email format.
