"Without a doubt, the highlight of his BLM career was the last 15 years spent serving as a liaison between the Federal Government and 22 southwestern native tribes. In this role, he met with traditional tribal leaders to identify sacred ancestral sites and protect them from any federal land projects. He made lasting friendships during this time among these traditional tribal members and treasured every moment he got to work with them."
