UDOT is Hiring - Environmental Program Coordinator


The Utah Department of Transportation is hiring two Environmental Program Coordinators to support UDOT’s environmental program at its central office. Primary duties include assisting in the preparation of state and federal environmental documents, including Environmental Assessments (EA) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) completed under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The environmental program coordinator will also be responsible for tracking and compiling data related to UDOT’s environmental program and developing relevant reports, as well as assisting in the development and distribution of program and subject matter documentation and guidance. In addition, the environmental program coordinator will support UDOT’s natural and cultural resources programs. Strong candidates will have a background in natural resources (biology, ecology, resource management or similar) or cultural resources (archaeology, architectural history, tribal consultation) or other expertise related to transportation effects and the environment, such as Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act, air quality conformity, and highway traffic noise.
